The Eventuri Honda FK8 Type R intake is the result of extensive design iteration through dyno testing and flow analysis. It was developed to achieve two objectives? 1) Maintain low inlet temperatures. 2) Unlock the turbo inlet path. The first objective was accomplished by encasing the filter in a carbon-air box and using the stock seal against the hood to block heat from the engine. Because the intake is directly behind the radiator, it is crucial that the filter is not exposed, which would lead to power loss due to high IAT. The second goal was achieved by removing the flexible hose and optimizing the inlet path with a Venturi stack connected directly to the filter. We also added a second intake to the airbox with a scoop that pulls air from the inner wing. This nearly doubles the total cross-sectional area the turbo can draw from compared to the single input on the stock system. Our carbon airbox housing is designed to maximize available volume and block all heat sources. The resulting performance gains and aesthetics are class-leading for the FK8 Type R.
