Audi RS3 8Y Gen 2 at JHParts: the Automotive Passion project
An Audi RS3 8Y Gen 2 Sportback fitted at JHParts with an Automotive Passion carbon front splitter, side skirt extensions, V2 diffuser and reflector surrounds. A closer look at the finished project.

At JHParts, we fitted this Audi RS3 8Y Gen 2 Sportback with four Automotive Passion components: a carbon front splitter, side skirt extensions, the V2 diffuser and carbon reflector surrounds. Together, they give the lower outline of the car a more distinctive shape, carrying the carbon finish from the front bumper through to the rear.
The photographs show the completed project on this blue-grey Sportback. The dark carbon contrasts with the paint while leaving the familiar RS3 shape clearly visible. From a low viewing angle, the relationship between the splitter, side skirts and diffuser is particularly easy to see.
A stronger outline at the front
The AP Design splitter adds definition to the bottom edge of the front bumper. On this car, the carbon creates an extra layer below the dark grille and air intakes, giving the nose a more pronounced outline while keeping the bumper’s existing shape in view.
The front photograph shows how the splitter extends across the nose. It catches the eye first, but its relationship with the side profile is what helps the project look complete.
Connecting the side profile
The side skirt extensions carry the carbon line between the front and rear wheels. The photograph along the flank shows how the woven pattern and gloss finish continue the treatment seen at the front.
From the side, these pieces visually connect the front splitter and rear diffuser. They give the lower body a clearer outline, with the paint and graphics above still playing their own part in the car’s appearance.
At the rear: V2 diffuser and reflector surrounds
The rear presents the most noticeable change. The V2 diffuser creates a visible carbon outline around the oval exhaust openings, with fins that stand out in the close-up photograph. Its side sections carry that shape towards the outer corners of the bumper.
Separate carbon reflector surrounds complete the area around the red reflectors. Alongside the diffuser, they spread the carbon detailing across the rear bumper. The close-up captures both the shape of the fitted pieces and the weave of the carbon.
How the finished project comes together
The wider rear view gives the clearest impression of the overall result. The side skirt extensions visually meet the diffuser’s side sections, while the reflector surrounds repeat the same finish higher up the bumper.
The fitted Automotive Passion parts use dry-carbon (pre-preg). The visual result of this project comes from their combination: four components that give this RS3 Sportback a consistent carbon accent from front to rear.
