The Mercedes A35 Eventuri Turbo Tube has been developed to give the turbo a less restrictive flow path compared to the standard tube. We managed to increase the internal volume and eliminate the ribbed flexible section on the airbox side. By using a completely solid tube from the intake to the turbo, the flow path is smoother and the airflow can therefore remain laminar. To accommodate engine movement, our A35 intake has a "floating" pipe, which can move within the airbox. The shape of the carbon tube at the turbo end has been optimized using CFD to minimize turbulence. The connection to the turbo is achieved with an innovative silicone coupling that features an internal thermal separator between the carbon tube and the metal turbo housing. The multiple vent connectors on the back of the tube are provided with a CNC machined block that also provides a smooth internal surface for airflow into the tube.
