The 991 Turbo Eventuri intake system has been developed through extensive field testing with the aim of making the turbos work more efficiently. By replacing the single stock airbox with individual proprietary Venturi filter housings, the turbos can spool and generate boost with less resistance. As a result, wastegate duty cycles are reduced, resulting in peak boost at a lower RPM and therefore performance is improved. The two separate filters provide a larger filter area compared to the single panel filter. Additionally, to keep intake air temperatures low, the Venturi housings are sealed against an air duct that draws ambient air from the same location as the supply system. Because the 911 Turbo engine compartment is tightly packed, high IATs can only be avoided by ensuring a completely sealed intake system. The combination of a smoother airflow path to each turbo with low IATs results in higher performance and crisper throttle response through the stock airbox.
