The Audi 8V RS3 & TTRS Gen-2 Eventuri-cold air intake was developed to achieve two main objectives. Limit the turbo inlet path and maintain low inlet temperatures.
The first goal was achieved by using tubes with an inside diameter of 88 mm all the way to the turbo and using the unique Venturi housing to maintain the laminar flow. The second goal was achieved by designing a sealed system for the supply of cold air, whereby the turbo does not draw heated air from the engine compartment. The inlet channel draws air from the supply and is maximized in volume to allow the highest flow through the filter. The resulting performance gain and aesthetics are leading for the 8V RS3.
The Eventuri difference The 8V RS3 Eventuri system uses the patented carbon fiber housings that ensure an aerodynamically efficient air flow path from the filters to the throttle body. Not just a cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that evokes the Venturi effect.
