Introducing our F9X X5M, G09 XM intake. This intake is the result of extensive R&D and testing to improve the flow path of the inventory system. Our system is a complete redesign of the standard airboxes with the aim of reducing pressure loss, increasing flow and keeping inlet temperatures low. With the standard cold air intake at the front of the car and the turbo intakes facing the rear of the car, the airflow must make a 180 degree turn through each airbox, resulting in a flow restriction. To overcome this we have introduced an additional cold air supply from the bulkhead, resulting in a more direct flow path to the turbo inlets. The additional feeds allow the intake to have a higher flow while keeping the IATs low and have the added benefit of reducing the noise of the turbos. Because the intake vents now face the cabin, the sounds of the turbo and pressure relief are clearly audible, taking the driving experience to the next level.
