Sporty Akrapovič sound with active exhaust valves

An electronically controlled exhaust valve is located on both sides of the Akrapovič silencer. The valve bodies are produced in Akrapovič's own foundry and have been specially developed to precisely tune the sound of the Cupra Formentor VZ5 to the selected riding mode.

In Comfort mode, the sound remains comfortable and relatively subdued, ensuring long journeys remain pleasant. In Sport mode, the five-cylinder produces a distinctly more powerful and sportier sound. If you select Cupra mode , the character of the VZ5 comes fully to life with a powerful and pronounced Akrapovič sound.

The system comes with a specially developed Akrapovič control kit , ensuring that the operation of the exhaust valves is perfectly integrated and that occupants can optimally enjoy the various sound characteristics.

ECE approved for Cupra Formentor VZ5 with OPF

The Akrapovič exhaust system features ECE type approval for vehicles equipped with an OPF (Otto Particulate Filter) . As a result, the system combines a significantly sportier sound with high-quality construction and homologation for approved vehicle configurations.

Optionally, the system can be expanded with the Akrapovič Sound Kit , which allows for additional control over the exhaust valves.

Please note: when the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is fitted, the ECE type approval of the exhaust system becomes invalid.
