The Porsche GT3 RS intake is designed to provide a more efficient flow path to the engine compared to the OEM airbox. By using our patented Venturi housing concept, the airflow can pass through the filters with a much less tortuous path, reducing the drag of the system. Furthermore, by increasing the total volume in the inlet, the maximum flow capacity has also been increased. By using custom-made filters with an outer diameter of 192mm or 7.5" with a filter area of over 110,000mm^2 each, we have made maximum use of the available space. Inlet air temperatures have also been minimized by ensuring for a sealed system and by using carbon fiber with a low thermal conductivity coefficient across the wall thickness. The resulting system delivers real performance improvements and a noticeable improvement in throttle response.
