Ferrari 488 GTB Spider carbon flank air scoops

The large flank air intakes define the Ferrari 488's side profile. These Sforza carbon air scoops replace the corresponding airflow dividers in the side bodywork. The set contains a left and a right component for the 488 GTB and 488 Spider, giving both flanks the same carbon detail.

Material and specification

Sforza calls these parts flank flow splitters. They are made from pre-preg carbon, formed in an autoclave and finished with a gloss clear coat. The photograph shows two mirrored, distinctly shaped pieces with a broad visible face; they are intake inserts rather than complete fenders.

Installation and application

The pieces take the place of the original flank components. The surrounding bodywork and the characteristic contour of the 488 intake remain the basis of this application. This two-piece set therefore targets the air intake area in carbon without replacing the entire side of the car.
