Introducing our S62 carbon fiber plenum cover. Made from 100% prepreg carbon, this cover is a direct replacement for the standard plastic version and unleashes the sound of the BMW S62 V8 engine. While there are no performance gains, the induction noise generated enhances the driving experience of the M5/Z8 to a whole new level. At low speeds there is a deeply resonant tone that increases in pitch with acceleration. At higher revs the lid gives the E39 M5 an almost CSL-like sound and it is a truly intoxicating experience. We went through several iterations with different carbon thicknesses to refine the sound and the resulting plenum generates a significant increase in volume with a more melodious induction sound.
